Tip of the Day, March 28

28 March

March 28 – In 1 Cor. 1:10 Paul says; “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”.

This scripture reference is what many Mormons use to ‘prove’ that all churches but them are apostate because we have so many different denominations.  What they refuse to see is that if you follow the tenets of the Bible and see it as the infallible word of God, the name over the doorway is no different than each of us having our own identity with our given name.

“If modern churches do not conform to the New Testament pattern of the true Church, then the non-conforming organizations are apostate.  This simple test of the authenticity of any church claiming to be the Lord’s may be made by finding answer to such questions as:  Where is there a church that has…some combination of the names of Christ as its name?”  Mormon Doctrine, pg 45.

The root word of Protestant is PROTEST.

People protesting what they think is wrong in the teaching of other religious groups.

And this has been going on for many many years before Heavenly Father restored His Church on the earth.
