Mormon Dilemma 278
Blacks Denied Priesthood
Mormon Doctrine, p. 477, 1958; “Negroes in this life are denied the priesthood; under no circumstances can they hold this delegation of authority from the Almighty. The gospel message of salvation is not carried affirmatively to them…. Negroes are not equal with other races where the receipt of certain spiritual blessings are concerned…” – Apostle Bruce R. McConkie
Romans 1:16; “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
Clearly this doctrine found in the Mormon Church is not only unethical but unbiblical as well. Why a man of God would sanction and condone this type of theology is beyond the realm of understanding. They’ve obviously not read the Bible or they’ve twisted its meaning to suit their own purposes.
An impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
