General Conference at a Glance October 2015
Today’s post is on the summary of what Mormons can expect to hear at General Conference this weekend, October 3-4, 2015.
Somehow their insights still surprise me, even though I know they shouldn’t. The leader of their primary conference talked about the so-called divine nature everyone is endowed with, and with no apologies she compares this divinity within mankind with God’s love. Yikes!
Here are the highlights from three of their anointed ones that Mormons can look forward to.
The information they’ve provided gives us the opportunity to be in deep prayer as they immerse themselves in Satan’s lies. It also opens another door for witnessing!
After the conference you might want to ask your Mormon friends/loved ones what they thought of the speeches they heard!

Discovering the Divinity Within
Rosemary M. Wixom (Primary President)
“…We come to this earth to nurture and discover the seeds of divine nature that are within us. … We identify with our divine nature as we feel and give the love of our Father in Heaven.”
This is one of the rare instances where I don’t know who to feel more sorry for; the false teacher, or the recipients thereof.
Make no mistake, I feel no ungodly sorrow for false teachers! My heart, however, hurts for all who’ve been misled by false christs and call themselves God’s anointed. It makes for a complicated scenario!
For instance, my mother is an LDS Home Teacher. Each month she visits those who’ve been assigned to her little area, and it’s at that time she’s put on the cloak of a false teacher. It sickens me to the core each time I think of it. I personally know how confused she is, and I’ve personally witnessed how determined she is to defend Joseph Smith to her death.
There are two major problems in the context of Mrs. Wixom’s talk.
1.Everything she said completely defies what God has already revealed in His word Isaiah 43:10-11.
2.She’s teaching these horrific lies to little children. Jesus said it’d be better for a millstone to be hung around your neck than to lead little ones astray Luke 17:2.

Claim the Blessings of Your Covenants
Linda S. Reeves (Second Counselor, Relief Society)
In Ms. Reeve’s talk she stated,
“I know nothing that will qualify us for the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost as much as virtue”.
Think about that for a moment…
How does one live virtuously if they don’t already have God living inside of them?
Mormons have categorically rejected the Jesus of the Bible, and yet that very same Jesus stated man can do nothing apart from Him John 15:5.

Here to Serve a Righteous Cause
Carole F. McConkie (First Counselor in the Young Women)
“The righteous cause we serve is the cause of Christ…We choose to serve the Lord in His righteous cause that we may become one with the Father and the Son…By participating in sacred priesthood ordinances, we pledge that we will embark in the service of God…”
Again, because members of the Church have rejected the Jesus of the Bible, and continue to do so today, they’ve systematically disqualified themselves from being one with the Lord as Jesus stated in John 17:19-21.
