Nauvoo House
D&C 124:59-60; “Therefore, let my servant Joseph and his seed after him have place in that house, from generation to generation, forever and ever, saith the Lord.60 And let the name of that house be called Nauvoo House; and let it be a delightful habitation for man, and a resting-place for the weary traveler, that he may contemplate the glory of Zion, and the glory of this, the corner-stone thereof…”
Prophecy given January 19, 1841. History of the Church 4:274-286.
The Nauvoo House was never completed and belongs to the RLDS Church (now called Community of Christ). Verse 63 tells members how to issue stock for the house that was never completed.
Again, what is your point? A command is not a prophecy, and that is all this is.
The false prophecy here is; “Therefore, let my servant Joseph and his seed after him have place in that house, from generation to generation, forever and ever, saith the Lord”.
Michelle was just pointing out what verse 63 entails… sure that part of the passage is a command, but the whole section in context is that the house would be established for J.S. and his seed after that… “forever and ever, saith the Lord”.
No. The command was to build the house for Joseph Smith. No part of this is a prophecy. It is a command to have the house built so that Joseph and his family would have a heritage to pass from generation to generation.
There is not statement that it would be built, only the command to build it, and the purpose in building it.
