Tip of the Day, March 3
March 3 – During the last supper Jesus told the disciples that his blood would be shed for them. Matthew 26:28; “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins”.
There have been many martyrs for the Lord but their blood isn’t what has saved them or us! You should ask the Mormon what exactly happened when Joseph died. Ask them if they consider the Carthage Grays’ deaths martyrdom as well. Joseph killed two people before they shot and killed him and his brother, Hyrum.
Only Jesus’ blood can wash away our sins, only His broken body is what gives us eternal life.
The Mormon hymn Praise to the Man goes like this; “Praise to his memory, he died as a martyr.
Honored and blest be his ever great name! Long shall his blood, which was shed by assassins, Plead unto heaven while the earth lauds his fame. Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven! Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain. Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren; Death cannot conquer the hero again.”
