June 8 – Matt. 5:3; “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their’s is the kingdom of heaven.”

We are climbing aboard a nine day word study in commemoration of the Beatitudes!  Today’s word is ‘poor’.  The transliteration in the Greek is ptochos, or pauper.  Earlier we saw how the kingdom of heaven is now, so the poor in spirit can be filled while here with the Lord’s supplication of His love and direction.
