June 21 – Luke 22:44; “And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

The reason for this verse today is to show you how the Mormon Church teaches that Jesus shed His blood for our atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane during the time of His praying to the Father before the crucifixion.

Using one verse out of context has proven to confuse thousands, if not millions of Mormons.  People like my own mother don’t believe Jesus died on the cross for her sins and instead been taught he paid for sins in the Garden of Gethsemane.

By taking away the cross it is then easier to introduce other teachings which deifies man and brings God down to man’s level.
