Tip of the Day, June 11

11 June

June 11 – Matt. 5:6; “Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled”.

Righteousness in the Greek is; dikaiosune, justification.  The transliteration for filled is; chortazo. To gorge, fill, satisfy.

“Plainly and simply stated, righteousness is the quality and type of living that results from obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel.  No persons are wholly righteous: by walking in the light and obeying the celestial law to the extent of the abilities, however, the saints attain a high degree of righteousness; their conduct becomes blameless, upright and just…Righteousness bring to pass eternal progression…”  Mormon Doctrine, pg. 654-5.
