August 1 – Amos 1:11; “Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever.”

Notice the word “Idumea”.  Biblically speaking it is the Greek word for Edom or Esau.  His descendants (Edomites) were cave dwellers near Moab.  They were totally annihilated after the invasion of the kingdom of Judah.  Here the Church has given yet another word another meaning to confuse their members even more.

Doctrine and Covenants 1:36 says; “And also the Lord shall have power over his saints, and shall reign in their midst, and shall come down in judgment upon Idumea, or the world.”
