Matthew 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

We’re sure it’s obvious to our readers, the Church is finding itself with their backs to the wall. When I began working in ministry with Ed Decker back in ‘94, he and I would pray for the day we’d see the Church imploding on itself. Just reading the history and doctrines of Mormonism, it only stands to reason their deceitful ways couldn’t last forever. As it is for Saints Alive and this ministry today, we now receive more e-mails from those leaving the Church than any other subject matter. PTL!

A couple of days ago we posted a story on how the Church goes out of its way to hide the truth about the Gospel Topics Essays. We retrieved the info from the Mormon Stories podcast site run by John Dehlin. While visiting his Facebookpage the same day, I read an interesting post I believe everyone should know about; Mormons and non-Mormons alike.

For the record, we’ll state here although Mr. Dehlin seems like a nice enough fellow, we don’t necessarily agree with all of his viewpoints. That said, we do think some info he provides is worthy of investigation and helpful to those investigating Mormonism.

Now, moving forward, from a post on July 14,  2016, Dehlin asked for everyone to share the information about a presentation Richard Bushman gave to a small group. It’s unclear who the group is that he’s speaking to, however, in the Q&A session Bushman clearly stated the Church needs to change their ways.

For those who are unaware, Richard Bushman is the LDS Church Historian, and the go-to-guy for all things Mormon.

He said ‘the historical narrative the LDS Church has been teaching for decades is not true’. He also stated they’re mostly concerned with the older generation of Mormons. This is rather telling in light of what we posted about Mr. Snow’s comment that the Church is worried with the number of  young people leaving the Church after reading the Gospel Topic Essays.

In one fell swoop they’ve ruined their credibility with both groups, young and old. One has to wonder what may have happened if they had told the truth to begin with…

We agree with Dehlin that Bushman should be saying these things publicly, and more often, Going further though, it’s too bad the Church doesn’t outright repent and denounce all the lies they’ve told. The video for Bushman’s Q&A session lasts for just 1.27 minutes, but it contains info everyone should hear! The date of the post is July 14, 2016.

As the Church continues to reinvent itself, always keep Paul’s admonition in  mind! Be ready in season and out to give a reason for your faith!

2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”
