Mormons Behold a Different Jesus

20 April

General Conference, ‘Behold the Man,’ April 2018; “Recently I asked the internet, “What day most changed the course of history?” … If the same question were asked of you, what would you say? In my mind the answer is clear. To find the most important day in history, we must go back to that evening almost 2,000 years ago in the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus Christ knelt in intense prayer and offered Himself as a ransom for our sins. It was during this great and infinite sacrifice of unparalleled suffering in both body and spirit that Jesus Christ, even God, bled at every pore. … Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins. All of them. Because of Jesus the Christ, our sins can not only be erased; they can be forgotten. We can become purified and exalted. Holy. Do We “Behold the Man”? … …They could see Jesus, but they did not truly behold Him. They did not have eyes to see.” – Dieter Uchtdorf

John 19:5; “Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!”

LDS apostle, Dieter Uchtdorf, asked a very important question during his speech at General Conference earlier this month. He asked, ‘Do we behold the Man?’

It seemed remarkable when he told Mormons the Jews saw Jesus standing next to Pilate, but they didn’t truly behold Him. At one point he even quoted Alfred Edersheim’s work ‘Jesus the Messiah’ when briefly mentioning the beating, and scourging Jesus went through. Yet even with the fancy footnotes Mr. Uchtdorf has missed beholding the true Jesus, just as the Jews did at the time they yelled out to ‘crucify Him’.

He only saw the created false Christ of Mormonism, not the Jesus of the Bible, who is in fact God incarnate. He’s chosen to believe Jesus paid the price for sins at Gethsemane, not Golgotha. He also lied by telling Mormons this pseudo Jesus paid for all their sins. The Mormon Jesus didn’t pay for all sins, and this man knows it as well as I do. There is no forgiveness for three things in Mormonism;

D&C 42:79 – murder

D&C 85:11 – if you leave the church

D&C 132:27 – blasphemy against the Holy Ghost

For Christians the day that changed history is when Jesus was resurrected. It was preceded by another all important day which was the day Jesus hung on the cross to pay for our sins.

Share demonstrative facts with the Mormon you know about the crown of thorns, and the purple robe.

We’re praying for Jesus to open the eyes of these dear people to see the truth behind the lies they’ve presented at this General Conference!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
