Jesus; Polygamist and Founder of Christianity

The Seer, pg. 172; “…the great Messiah who was the founder of the Christian religion, was a polygamist…marrying many honorable wives himself…God the Father had a plurality of wives…the Son followed the example of his Father…both God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ inherit their wives in eternity as well as in time.” – Orson Pratt, 1857

Numbers 23:19; “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

1. Where in the Bible does it ever say that God or Jesus were polygamists?

2. Where in the Bible does it say that God was once a man?

3. Where in the Bible does it say that polygamous marriages are mandatory to achieve salvation?

4. If God was literally the father of all of us and he then came down to impregnate Mary wouldn’t that qualify as incest? (Doctrines of Salvation 1:102)

5. If that “great Messiah” was the founder of the Christian “religion” then it contradicts what we’ve read in Helaman 11:21.  That verse tells us they were practicing Christianity in a church in BC 12 long before Jesus was even born.

6. Exactly who were these “honorable wives” that Jesus married?
