Location of Jesus’ Atonement & Mormon Contradictions

salt-lake-mormon-temple-2D&C 19:18; “Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit—and would that I might not drink the bitter cup, and shrink—”

Doctrine and Covenants 21:9; “For, behold, I will bless all those who labor in my vineyard with a mighty blessing, and they shall believe on his words, which are given him through me by the Comforter, which manifesteth that Jesus was crucified by sinful men for the sins of the world, yea, for the remission of sins unto the contrite heart.”

Hebrews 13:12; “Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.” – Also see Exodus 29:14.

I’ve always been convinced Satan directed Joseph Smith to insert certain biblical words and/or phrases throughout his writings to confuse people, and this is one of those times.

1.In D&C 19:18 we read how Jesus has referred to himself as the greatest “God” of all. Mormons don’t believe this! The Mormon heavenly father is greater than the Mormon Jesus.

2.Mormons NEVER refer to Jesus as God.

3.This Mormon Jesus is paying for sins in Gethsemane which is unbiblical because God specifically mandated for sacrifices to take place outside the gate. This makes Gethsemane unqualified for this purpose.

4.By a cursory reading, you’ll notice the second Mormon verse contradicts the first one we’ve listed here.

Ask your Mormon friends what they think of Joseph Smith’s prophecies!
