Mormonism and the Negro, p. 7
“There is nothing in the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints about which any member need feel any shame, apology or embarrassment. Perhaps in the individual failings and weaknesses of some who profess to be members, there may be cause, but not in the Gospel itself.” — John J. Stewart, 1960

John 7:24 “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”

Acts 10:34-35 “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”

You’ll find our LDS reference above in the opening paragraph of Mr. Stewart’s work, ‘Mormonism and the Negro’. They obviously wasted no time in declaring their idea of what is, and isn’t racist.

While I was offended, I asked others what they thought of Mr. Stewart’s ‘insight’, and the reactions I received were all the same. It’s offensive to both the Lord, and to those who aren’t ‘white and delightsome’.

At the end of this article you can find several racist remarks made by LDS leaders. These and others can also be found on our page Racist Remarks by Leaders of the Church. It goes to show their doctrine is indeed filled with hateful ideologies regardless of what Mr. Stewart tried to portray.

Suffice it to say, the Church has tried to turn the tables of culpability. Their comments and doctrines are absolute racist theology and come from beneath, not the Lord God of the Bible. Leaders of the LDS Church are masters of deceit. Their theology is intended to demean, and shame anyone who isn’t white and delightsome, and evidence of this today is couched in LDS canon. If they didn’t support their racist theology, they would’ve denounced all of it beginning with their beloved Book of Mormon.

We pray daily for hearts of the Mormon people to soften and be willing to accept what our sweet Lord says in His word.

Cain is the Devil’s Representative after the Flood

Journal of Discourses 22:304-305; “And after the flood we are told that the curse that had been pronounced upon Cain was continued through Ham’s wife, as he had married a wife of that seed. And why did it pass through the flood? Because it was necessary that the devil should have a representation upon the earth as well as God; and that man should be a free agent to act for himself.” – John Taylor, Provo, Utah, August 28, 1881

 Apostates Turn Black and Wrinkly

Journal of Discourses 5:332; “Apostates will … become gray-haired, wrinkled, and black, just like the Devil.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, October 7, 1857

Blacks are Uncouth, Uncomely

Journal of Discourses 7:291; “You see some classes of the human family that are black, uncouth, uncomely, disagreeable and low in their habits, wild, and seemingly deprived of nearly all the blessings of the intelligence that is generally bestowed upon mankind. ..” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, October 9, 1859

Lamanites Filthy & Dark

1 Nephi 12:23;  “And it came to pass that I beheld, after they had dwindled in unbelief they became a dark, and loathsome, and a filthy people, full of idleness and all manner of abominations.”
