Joseph Smith’s ‘Communications with the Dead’

05 June

Journal of Discourses 2:44 “Who revealed to him [Joseph Smith] the plan of redemption, and of exaltation for the dead who had died without the Gospel? and the keys and preparations necessary for holy and perpetual converse with Jesus Christ, and with the spirits of just men made perfect, and with the general assembly and Church of the first-born, in the holy of holies? Those from the dead!” – Parley Parker Pratt, Great Salt Lake City, April 6, 1853

Leviticus 20:6 “And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.”

Mr. Pratt had some revealing info eh? We’re wondering why it doesn’t match up with what Smith claimed. If dead people were giving all this new info to Smith, where was Jesus?

Aside from the inconsistencies between Pratt’s and Smith’s testimonies, the Lord’s word tells us to not have communications with dead folks. Everything in Mormonism tells us they’ve done everything but obey. Dear Mormon, you should know this is necromancy, and God condemns it!

Pray for Mormons to open their hearts to Jesus, and heed His voice!

With Love in Christ;
