Joseph Smith Declared Elias is Noah

Answers to Gospel Questions 3:141;“Summarizing the facts—Joseph Smith revealed that Gabriel was Noah; Luke declared that it was the angel Gabriel who appeared to Zacharias and Mary; and the Lord has declared that Elias appeared to Zacharias and Joseph Smith. Therefore, Elias is Noah.” – Joseph Fielding Smith, 1960

Jude 1:3-4; “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The reasoning this man employed to introduce new lies boggles the mind. Let’s look at the context here to try and clear the confusion…

Smith declared:

1.Noah is Gabriel.

2.Gabriel appeared to Zacharias, and Mary.

3.Elias appeared to Zacharias, and Joseph Smith.

4.This means Elias is Noah.

Does this mean Elias was the one who built the Ark?

If the Church doesn’t believe in reincarnation, how did this happen

Did the Mormon god not have enough people, so he just recycled some of them?

If you’re LDS, what’s your opinion about this? How can you trust this doctrine from a beloved Mormon prophet when it contradicts itself?

We’re praying all Mormons will open their bibles to find the truth for themselves!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
