General Conference 2018: False Prophet Guides Saints to Empty Building

12 October

John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

General Conference, ‘Becoming Exemplary Latter-day Saints, October 2018 “… the assaults of the adversary are increasing exponentially, in intensity and in variety. Our need to be in the temple on a regular basis has never been greater…  If you have reasonable access to a temple, I urge you to find a way to make an appointment regularly with the Lord—to be in His holy house—then keep that appointment with exactness and joy.” Russell M. Nelson

1 Corinthians 6:19 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”

Acts 7:48 “Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet”.

Our need to be in the presence of God is the same today as it was the day Adam was created. Satan is still at work just as he’s always been. While it may seem evil is greater, the truth is that Satan’s influence is more easily seen with the advent of instant information. There are more people, and more information, making it seem worse.

The only thing worsening is the amount of people who don’t walk with Jesus. Don’t believe it? All one has to do is open their Bible…the first scene of humanity shows a total rebellion against God in the Garden of Eden.

Mr. Nelson’s false teaching gives people a sense of self righteousness by thinking the more often they go inside a certain building, the more holy they become. Compare his teaching with what Jesus told the Samaritan woman – they that worship Him must do so in spirit and truth.

True believers are already in the presence of the Lord because He’s taken up residence inside the heart.

With Love in Christ;
