False Prophets of Mormonism

Joseph Smith is Preeminent and Above All Others

“The Certain Sounds,” Church News, October 9, 1983, p. 24; “No man holds divine authority equal to or above the president of the Church. In his position he is pre-eminent!
“Let us understand fully the clear identity of the president of the Church. He is the mouthpiece of God on earth for us today.”

Pre-eminent means eminent above or before others; superior; surpassing.

Prophets in the Bible came to serve, not be served. They weren’t above anyone and were held accountable through God’s word so the people could differentiate the false prophets from God’s chosen servants.

2 Peter 1:20-21; “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”
