Engraving Contradictions with BoM Plates

01 September

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”.

The Book of Mormon is fraught with problems, but today we’re looking at just one issue: contradictions.

This time around the contradictions are concerning how Book of Mormon authors complained about the lack of materials they had available to write their pseudo gospel, while going into great detail of events taking place. Jarom 1:14  Their excuses ranged from the ‘awkwardness of their hands’, to the font size of letters in Reformed Egyptian.

Within that parameter, are the following issues:

Why are 19 chapters from the book of Isaiah found in the Book of Mormon, most of which are verbatim? See MormonHandbook.com for detailed info.

Why did they plagiarize Isaiah if the plates they stole from Laban, already contained Isaiah’s writings? 1 Nephi 3:3

Why did they alter the Hebrew language, and substitute it with an unknown, not to mention ungodly, version of Egyptian which God forbade? See Mormon 9:33, and Nehemiah 13:24.

We’ve provided nine BoM references below showing how Joe Smith’s gospel is a ruse, created to draw people away from the true God of the Bible. Remind your Mormon friends/loved ones of Paul’s important message to the Corinthians on how believers already have the true gospel!

If you’re a member of the Church, please know we’re not doing this out of animosity, or to bash the Mormon people. We sincerely pray you’ll look over these things, and ask Jesus into your hearts!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle

1 Cor 1:18

1 Nephi 3:3 “For behold, Laban hath the record of the Jews and also a genealogy of my forefathers, and they are engraven upon plates of brass.” – c. bc 600-592 1 Nephi 5:13 “And also the prophecies of the holy prophets, from the beginning, even down to the commencement of the reign of Zedekiah; and also many prophecies which have been spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah.” bc 600-592
1 Nephi 6:1 “And now I, Nephi, do not give the genealogy of my fathers in this part of my record; neither at any time shall I give it after upon these plates which I am writing; for it is given in the record which has been kept by my father; wherefore, I do not write it in this work.” – c. bc 600-592 1 Nephi 10:15 “And after this manner of language did my father prophesy and speak unto my brethren, and also many more things which I do not write in this book; for I have written as many of them as were expedient for me in mine other book.” – c. bc 600-592
1 Nephi  22:1 “And now it came to pass that after I, Nephi, had read these things which were engraven upon the plates of brass, my brethren came unto me and said unto me: What meaneth these things which ye have read? Behold, are they to be understood according to things which are spiritual, which shall come to pass according to the spirit and not the flesh?” – c. bc 588-570 Jacob 4:1 “Now behold, it came to pass that I, Jacob, having ministered much unto my people in word, (and I cannot write but a little of my words, because of the difficulty of engraving our words upon plates) and we know that the things which we write upon plates must remain”. c. bc 544-421
Jarom 1:14 “And I, Jarom, do not write more, for the plates are small. But behold, my brethren, ye can go to the other plates of Nephi; for behold, upon them the records of our wars are engraven, according to the writings of the kings, or those which they caused to be written.” – c. bc 399-361 Ether 12:24 “And thou hast made us that we could write but little, because of the awkwardness of our hands. Behold, thou hast not made us mighty in writing like unto the brother of Jared, for thou madest him that the things which he wrote were mighty even as thou art, unto the overpowering of man to read them.” – c. bc 2200
Mormon 9:33 “ And if our plates had been sufficiently large we should have written in Hebrew; but the Hebrew hath been altered by us also; and if we could have written in Hebrew, behold, ye would have had no imperfection in our record.” – c. ad 400-421
Galatians 1:6-8 “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”.
