Deplorable LDS Presidency Statement on Rape

04 July

Today’s post is a little different than our usual fare. I read a post on a favored Facebook page, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t bring attention to what this said. PLEASE, visit Mormon & LDS Facts FB page! You’ll be blessed by all their hard work in showing numerous resources of how the Church operates.

In short, the post I saw was from the First Presidency who released a statement on June 4, 1984 that a victim of rape could be frightened enough to not fight back, ‘causing her to submit without a real show of resistance’. Unfortunately for them, they went on to indicate she’s probably innocent unless, ‘a confirmation comes through the Spirit that she is guilty or culpable’.

This letter was signed and delivered over the pulpit by Spencer W. Kimball, Gordon B. Hinckley, and Marion Romney.

It never ceases to amaze me at how incredibly obnoxious they can be.

Pray for Mormons to leave this false church, and run to Jesus where they’ll find true salvation!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
