Young’s Prophecy Jesus to Visit US Proves He was ‘No Prophet’

28 June

Wilford Woodruff’s Journal, Vol. 5, p. 42; “…Brigham Young then said if the Lord our God does not visit the United States then I am no prophet…”
Matthew 24:23; “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.”

There were a lot of skirmishes, mini-wars, and outright unlawful deeds going on in the wild west back in Brigham’s day. One of the best places to read a day by day account of what took place is found in the journal of Wilford Woodruff, the 4th LDS prophet/president.

This guy had a penchant for documenting every word said by all, and lived up to his calling of Church Historian like no one else could.

In all the nonsense that went on, we came across our quote today which makes for a very telling statement made by the 2nd LDS prophet/president, Brigham Young.

We’re wondering…

Why didn’t anyone ever call these men out on the things they said?
