29 October

October 29 – 2 Timothy 2:15-16; “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.”

As Christians we cannot imagine not studying the Word of God; for this is how we receive instruction and communication from Him.  Bible studies and prayer must be the foundation of our walk with Him if we are to have any relationship at all.  However, for the Mormon there is much to lose if they try to embark on such an endeavor.  The quote below shows they have something to hide.

Gospel hobbies means;

“”Don’t have hobbies,” President Joseph F. Smith counseled.”Hobbies are dangerous in the Church of Christ. They are dangerous because they give undue prominence to certain principles or ideas to the detriment and dwarfing of others just as important, just as binding, just as saving as the favored doctrines or commandments.”
