Tip of the Day, October 18

18 October

October 18 – Ecclesiastes 3:1; “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

_____

Can you just imagine being told your entire life that Jesus was born at a certain time and His power actually was there before He was born or that people were using His name centuries before He was even born?

Just ten years of this would be enough to confuse the average person.  This section of their ‘scripture’ supposedly took place circa 83 BC.

_____

Alma 6:8; “And Alma went and began to declare the word of God unto the church which was established in the valley of Gideon, according to the revelation of the truth of the word which had been spoken by his fathers, and according to the spirit of prophecy which was in him, according to the testimony of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who should come to redeem his people from their sins, and the holy order by which he was called. And thus it is written. Amen.  The words ofAlmawhich he delivered to the people in Gideon, according to his own record. Comprising chapter 7.”

I like the way you poisen your readers thoughts about the passage from Alma befor they read it.

You must also believe that the Old Testiment did not teach of the comming of Christ.

Anyone interested in reading what Alma said for yourself, here is a link.

Here’s the deal w/ the rules of this blog. If you want to join in discussions and be a nice person even though we don’t have the same opinion about the bible then we welcome an open honest dialogue.
If however you choose to hurl insults at me or any of my volunteers you will be blocked from commenting on this site. Consider this your last warning.
When you choose not to use scripture or any literature from your belief to your comments this is considered hostile behavior. Coming to our site to be rude is not acceptable. We want you here, we’d love an intellectually honest debate but what you’re presenting in your posts does not qualify.
You can post links to the “official” LDS website all you want as long as you have a cordial discussion to go along with it. Notice that everywhere on this site I always post links to LDS references and give full scriptures.

Guess Fred might want to do some research on the name Jesus Christ. You really think it mentions the name Jesus Christ in the Old Testament? You think He really went by that name when He was alive? Really lost just like Joseph Smith was aren’t you?
