Tip of the Day, November 8

08 December

December 8 – Psalms 3:3; “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.”

Share with the dear Mormon in your life the huge comfort we find in this small verse.  In the Hebrew the word for shield is:  maògeòn.  It means protector.  Then the word glory in the Hebrew is:  kaòbòd.  This means splendor or honor (able).

How simple these words are, but they carry such a punch!  He is the one who protects me even when I can’t and He’s the one who gives me the will to carry on when I feel that I’ve been beaten down by the world.

My prayer for the Mormons is to know this Savior of mine. This is what the Mormons don’t have.  The purpose of showing you this passage from Alma today is that the timeline of Alma supposedly took place in 76 BC.  This is what people like my mother know as “truth”.

Alma 46:39; “And it came to pass that there were many who died, firmly believing that their souls were redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ; thus they went out of the world rejoicing.”
