Tip of the Day, June 27

27 June

June 27 – Gen. 1:28; “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

_____

Read the entire first three chapters of Genesis today.  Notice the sequence of events as God unfolds the history of the first man and woman.  Then compare this with what it says in the Articles of Faith, written by James Talmage from the LDS Church.  Make sure you share your findings with the Mormon in your life.  This discovery will allow them something to ponder.

_____

“Adam said: “Blessed be the name of God, for because of my transgression my eyes are opened, and in this life I shall have joy, and again in the flesh I shall see God.” Eve was glad and declared: “Were it not for our transgression we never should have had seed, and never should have known good and evil, and the joy of our redemption, and the eternal life which God giveth unto all the obedient.””  Articles of Faith, pg. 68, James Talmage.

Not sure what to make of your website. I plan to explore more in the coming days. Very interesting, though, it for no other reason but to learn more about the Mormon beliefs as they relate to Christianity. Wondering if maybe you were once run over by a car driven by a Mormon? Or did it just feel that way?

I’ll forego the comment altogether and withhold any judgmental attitude and “assumption” on my part concerning your brief analysis. If you’re here as another Christian to tell me that I should be nice because Mormons are Christians too then I’ll let you know in advance that we’re praying for you.
If you feel that I’ve been rude to the Mormon people by telling them the truth then you might want to read what Jesus had to say to the Pharisees and you’ll find that I’m actually quite nice.

Hello Michelle. Although I never delved too deeply into Mormonism, our paths have crossed a few times over the years. I was presented with a Book of Mormon some years ago, and I dismissed it as “hog wash.” I try not to be rude to anyone, Mormon, Christian, etc. However, I believe you may be doing the world a service in debunking the Mormons. Personally, I find the prospect of having Mitt Romney as our President rather disturbing, although not only because he is Mormon. I stand by my first comment, that I will continue to explore your blog. I think you have something to teach me. If I am not welcome, please indicate.

Oh everyone’s welcome here don’t get me wrong! I do boot people off for making rude personal comments to me or my volunteers – calling me stupid has expelled more than one person unfortunately. I say there’s only one chance but like a doting mom I give people too long of a leash at times. 😉

IF you are a Christian, you’d apologize for that comment about the “run over…”. This IS a Christian website for people looking to leave Mormonism and those who have left. Please read the Testimony page, etc. You need to know to start to understand that Mormonism is NOT Christian but in fact has it’s roots in the Masons and Occult.
Start by reading the SIDE BAR topics and learn. Mormonism entraps people by false doctrine and lies. Those who have left have lost their families, and more. So this type of comment is NOT funny either.

Hello Sue J. I never do humor well. At my age, I ought to know by now. The Mormons do not have a monopoly on false doctrine, and many so-called Christian cults have broken families apart and ruined lives.

Good! We agree with you on Mitt Romney. Since he is a Temple Mormon, he will put his Mormonism first over anything else. I never was a Mormon but have learned a great deal here! The Book on the side bar, MY KINGDOM COME, is excellent reading to actually a a real feel of this cult. We are praying that you’ll learn much and see how Mormonism entangles people with their work-righteous religion, becoming Gods, and secret rituals. Michelle has done extensive research on many of their teachings, as well as, having first-hand experience.
    We welcome you!

I would add, so the Republicans couldn’t push someone in our face that was not a Mormon?

      Meaning???

    • CamdenC July 12, 2012 at 7:25 pm #

Dear wsforchrist – Did you see my post below?

In response to your comment about “Republicans” it is sad that so many “Christians” believed that Romney was the one that was “most electable” and turned out during the primaries to vote for him. But that is what happens in a fallen world… as for me, I would’ve preferred Bachman, Santorum, or Gingrich over Romney. Santorum probably had the best chance and I wish the other social conservative candidates could’ve seen past their own egos and dropped out, giving Santorum more shares of the votes. People were saying, “Oh, he/she is not electable”. Oh yeah, people were saying, “David can’t defeat that giant” or “Gideon can’t defeat that army”. The battle is the Lord’s.
Bryan Fischer wrote a good article talking about Romney saying that it wasn’t his Mormonism that bothered him (politically) it was that Romney wasn’t “Mormon enough” when it came to social issues. He directed the clerks in Mass to issue gay marriage licenses, against what he knows in his heart to be a sin and goes against God’s Word. A real Christian would’ve put his political career on the line to defend what he knows is moral. A real Christian would’ve jeopordized his job to defend what he knows is the right thing to do… and that is refuse to sign into law, gay marriage. The healthcare bill in Mass had provisions for abortion in it, dubiously dubbed “Romney-Care”. But then again, the Mormons are ok with abortion if it is due to rape, incest, or health of the mother… (Good thing Tim Tebow’s mom wasn’t Mormon). But with all that said, the Lord has all control and we will always trust in Him…

I am not here to serve the “donkey” or the “elephant”, I am here to serve the LAMB!

wsforchrist – If you like to read and are interested in the upcoming election and how the Mormon church views the presidency and this nation, please check out the book; “One Nation Under Gods” by Richard Abanes http://www.amazon.com/One-Nation-Under-Gods-History/dp/1568582838

I was born into a Mormon family that dates back to the late 1800’s with my great grandparents. I was a Mormon for 26 years (age 0-26) and was raised to believe that the LDS church and their doctrines were the only true religion on earth. It was only, and I mean only, by the Grace of God that I was set free, through His only written Word, the Bible. One verse was instrumental in the beginning of my conversion; Ephesians 2: 8 and 9. When I heard it for the first time it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders and it felt like the Holy Spirit reached into my chest and gave my heart a squeeze, as if to soften the hardness of 26 years in a false religion/psuedo-Christian cult.

I welcome you to the blog and if you would like to go deeper into discussion, and you are a guy, then please e-mail me at camden@lifeafter.org

    Grace and Peace to you…

      Amen to your posts Camden!
That’s one of the most deceptive things about Mormonism. Everyone thinks they don’t believe in abortion but it’s not true. They don’t use it as a form of birth control – thank you Lord! – but they don’t have a problem using it just like the general public does. Very sad indeed.
