December 15 – Revelation 2:17; “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.”

Manna is one of the key words in this verse.  What is the hidden manna?  God supplied the Israelites daily needs for 40 years.  Day in, year out, He was there to make sure they had all they needed!  John 6:49-51 is where Jesus told us that He is the Bread of Life, the hidden manna John mentions again here in Revelation.

Also, the stone signifies approval towards you.  The Bible is replete with rich meanings which He wants for us to know.  Share this with a Mormon during this holiday season and give them the gift of knowing the real Jesus!

What the Mormon won’t tell you is that when you go into the temple for “holy endowments”, everyone doing temple work that day gets the same “secret name”.  They change the name for the next day’s participants and so on.  They believe the “white stone” is the secret name.  Ask them why the temple worker would know his/her secret name and why the husband would know his wife’s secret name if only Jesus was supposed to know it.  This continues to give them something to think about.

Doctrine and Covenants 130:9-11; “This earth, in its sanctified and immortal state, will be made like unto crystal and will be a Urim and Thummim to the inhabitants who dwell thereon, whereby all things pertaining to an inferior kingdom, or all kingdoms of a lower order, will be manifest to those who dwell on it; and this earth will be Christ’s.  Then the white stone mentioned in Revelation 2:17, will become a Urim and Thummim to each individual who receives one, whereby things pertaining to a higher order of kingdoms will be made known; And a white stone is given to each of those who come into the celestial kingdom, whereon is a new name written, which no man knoweth save he that receiveth it. The new name is the key word.”
