Thought of the Day about Mormonism and Mormon E-mails 2

After I got done with a meeting I had this afternoon I took a quick look at my post about the Mormon e-mail and realized I hadn’t included what I had intended to write to Shane – yikes!

I wrote Shane back and apologized. I got sidetracked and didn’t pay attention to what I was doing because I’m in a hurry today – ugh… I should never be in that big of a hurry!!!  So here’s the follow up and please, pray for him won’t you?

Hi again Shane –

I wanted to drop a quick e-mail to you and apologize for something.

While writing my response to you I became sidetracked and when I got back I just hit send instead of finishing it the way I should have.

Shane, the ONLY reason I have this ministry is because I’m 100% convinced the Mormon people love Jesus in their hearts just as I thought I did. I was a 6th generation Mormon from Utah and in the church for 30 years. I truly believed I was following the Jesus of the Bible but after years of investigation of the Bible and comparing it to the teachings and LDS scripture I sadly realized I was very wrong.

I want you to know how much the Jesus of the Bible loves you Shane and has died for you on the cross so you won’t have to spend an eternity separated from Him. The works, if you will, required by us as believers is to believe.  Believe in Him who the Father has sent.  He has completed the work on the cross as He is the fulfillment of the Law – Romans 10:4.

We need a Savior because we were born into sin – Romans 3:23

And because we sin the penalty is death – Romans 6:23

Because God loves us He’s given us His Son – Romans 5:8

If you call on Him you’ll be saved – Romans 10:3

When you confess your sin He’ll come to you – Romans 10:9-10

This set of verses is known as the Romans Road Shane – they‘re a set of verses you can look up for yourself and understand how to ask Jesus into your life. We have them set up on our blog http://lifeafterministry.com/2011/01/14/romans-road/

Why don’t you read those today and shoot me an e-mail!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle Grim
