Testimonies are Spiritual Protection

23 April

Psalm 32:7 “Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.”

General Conference, ‘Build a Fortress of Spirituality and Protection,’ April 2019 “We make and renew our covenants by partaking of the sacrament and by worshipping in the temple. …

In the temple we can “lay aside the things of this world” and feel the Lord’s presence…We can focus on our ancestors, our families, and eternal life in the presence of the Father. …

As we diligently strengthen our fortifications, we become like Jesus Christ, as His true disciples, with our very souls in His protection. Your testimony of Jesus Christ is your personal fortress, the security for your soul. … Our testimonies…our homes, our families, and our membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be our personal fortresses of protection…” — Ronald A. Rasband

Psalm 61:3 “For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.”

In addition to the Lord’s great wisdom in the two passages above, His word also reminds us about protection in Ephesians. Christians rightly know this as the ‘Armor of God’. Ephesians 6:17 “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”.

The helmet of salvation is the assurance you are saved. If you don’t have that, along with His word, you’re susceptible to Satan’s falsehoods! These are the best pieces of protection we have as Christians. Sadly, Mormons don’t have either of those things.

Incredibly, Mr. Rasband has lied to these people. Participating in necromancy is NEVER condoned by the Lord and temple ‘worship’ is necromancy.

Remind the Mormon in your life of what it says in the Psalms. With the way people and circumstances change, why would we want, or need, anyone but the Lord?

Psalm 73:25 “Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.”

With Love in Christ;
