Battle lines were drawn with the advent of Satan’s lies in the Garden of Eden. The forces of evil and God’s will were immediately manifested with partaking of the tree of knowledge.

In a radio sermon by Alistair Begg on March 31, 2015 he noted the reasons why God has forgiven us. His comments gave me pause as I reflected upon his insight about the day Jesus died. He said the horrors we’re seeing all over the world and those that have taken place since the beginning of time, haven’t gone unnoticed by God the Father. The rapes, murders, tortures, and other unspeakable acts have all been seen by Him and lie upon His heart.

The pastor said “it’s easy for us to just say ‘believe in Jesus and you’re saved’, but there’s something else that took place we mustn’t forget. We aren’t just forgiven because God, on a good day, said ‘yeah I think I’ll forgive people today’. There was a price that had to be paid for those sins”. Each of the sins you and I commit, there had to be a price paid.

As we all know, Jesus became those sins and He didn’t even have the comfort of the Holy Spirit during the ordeal. God turned away because of the horror that fell on His Only Begotten Son. He placed every dark, ugly, grotesque act upon Him to pay the price so we could be forgiven.

Forgiveness doesn’t come without a cost dear ones. The ugliness of every bad thing was placed on Him so we could have the luxury or saying ‘believe in Jesus and you’ll be saved’. That power is a result of Jesus’ spilt blood at Calvary’s Cross.

Messing around with the powers that aren’t from God is dangerous! They haven’t the power to change  you in a godly manner like the Holy Spirit does (Gal. 5:22-23). Besides all that, God condemns necromancy!

Deuteronomy 18:10-11 “There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.”
