Shame on Franklin Graham

15 January

Shame on you Franklin Graham for supporting Mitt Romney!

I think back to all the years I volunteered for your father’s crusades and they had me help the ministry in warning people about Mormonism and helping Mormons come out of that cult and you endorse him again on ABC News tonight with David Muir.

We’re praying Mr. Graham reevaluates the path he’s chosen to take and publicly recants his words.

Franklin Graham basically endorsing Mitt Romney is causing confusion all over the nation. Mormons are NOT born again Christians and for a born again Christian, especially one with a platform and a voice that is heard like Franklin Grahams to clearly endorse a Mormon is not of God the Father, Son or Holy Spirit but of the man depending on flesh.
    Read 1 Samuel 8:1-22.

P.S. For anyone to say that Mormons are Christians they do not have their facts straight. This has been a recruting tool for many years now in the Mormon church. Mormons and Born Again Christians are completely night and Day. May God bless you and protect you in these last days in Jesus name, Amen.

Anita – Check out the article on “Saints Alive” titled “The Emirgent Mormon Church”.

They are definately trying to be more seeker friendly and appeal to Christians that are “weak” in the doctrinal truths of Biblical Christianity.

Michelle – I too am shocked at the endorsement… How about Rick Santorum or Rick Perry, Mr. Graham? Did he wait to see the latest polls to decide to “jump on the Romney bandwagon”? How about Billy Graham? Does anyone know where he stands?

I would expect this kind of foolishness from Joel Osteen, but not from the son of the greatest evangelist of our time and the founder of Samaritan’s Purse.

I think Franklin Graham was peeved that he wasn’t asked to lead the prayers at President Obamas’s inauguration in lieu of his father , since when he has more than hinted that Obama is a Muslim, wasn’t born in Hawaii, etc etc. Franklin was an enthusiastic fan of Sarah Palin and as a Southerner he may also have some residual racism, hence he and his family’s support of Glenn Beck, Russ Limbaugh, the tea party brigade etc . The BGEA , of which he is the the CEO is in leadership a predominantly white male organisation employing many of the Graham family in leading roles. (They may have different surnames but they are related in some way or other).

Mark DeMoss, who is a Liberty University graduate, heads a PR firm that does the publicicity for the BGEA, Samaritan’s Purse and many other right wing Christian organizations and is also employed by Romney as a link between the Republican campaign and Evangelical voters.

Personally, I don’t think the religion of the President is that important but I do think the behaviour of evangelical leaders should be politically neutral, whatever their personal preferances. .
