It’s with a sad heart we heard the news of the passing of R.C. Sproul, pastor, and founder of Ligonier Ministries. After suffering a stroke a few years back, he entered the hospital a couple of weeks ago where he passed away yesterday, December 14, 2017.

His was a name that whenever I heard it after my conversion to Christianity, filled me with a sense of wonder. His name like that of Scofield, and others, were examples of how LDS leaders had misled me by stating no one outside of Mormonism had godly men who knew the deep things of God.

One of my mentors gave me Mr. Sproul’s book, ‘The Holiness of God’, and asked for my review after I finished – ‘in two weeks’, she said. It was a great book, and one I referred to on many occasions that helped grow my faith in great measure.

We’re praying God’s blessings of comfort and peace on his wife, and surviving family members.
