Nephi Plagiarized Jesus and Paul Before They Were Born

17 February

Is this a work of God, or man?

2 Nephi 31:16“And now, my beloved brethren, I know by this that unless a man shall endure to the end, in following the example of the Son of the living God, he cannot be saved.”

John 3:3, 5; “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

Matthew 24:13; “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

It’s pretty well known that twins have an uncanny sense about their look-a-like sibling. They’ve been known to sense if the other is in trouble, and sometimes even finish each other’s sentences during conversations. My paternal grandmother told me of these and other experiences she had with her twin brother. The one thing they couldn’t do was to write about events that hadn’t yet happened.

That was a phenomena Joe Smith couldn’t pull off no matter how hard he tried and it reminds me of our subject matter today.

It’s no coincidence several BoM passages sound very similar to what we read in God’s word. It’s written to confuse unsuspecting members of the LDS Church.

Smith was a master at lifting bits, and pieces of what he thought would best fit his manufactured gospel. Not surprisingly, he found two willing participants who’d serve as ‘scribes’; Martin Harris and Oliver Cowdery.

With that many people on board they should’ve caught the obvious fact Jesus hadn’t lived on earth c. BC 559. Moreover, a simple belief in God isn’t what would save the Israelites. Their salvation was dependent upon sacrifices, hence the whole plan of the Son of God coming to earth to take away the sins of men…

If you’re LDS does it make sense to you that Jesus is in the narrative at the time of Nephi? Know that we’re praying you’ll give this an honest look and consider the truth!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
