Necromancy According to the Mormon Church – Mormon Quotes

Mormon Doctrine pg. 526; “Necromancy is that form of divination which attempts to foretell the future by consultation with the dead. Sometimes the term is enlarged to include magic in general. It is and has been a common practice among apostate peoples, but the Lord calls it an abomination and expressly commands Israel to avoid it. (Deut. 18:9-14.)

Leviticus 20:6-8And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.  7 ¶ Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.  8 And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

Note: Necromancy means what the LDS Church says it does.  Ask your Mormon friend or loved one why Joseph Smith was talking with Moroni, a resurrected man that supposedly lived in the fifth century.  Or why the Mormon people believe it’s all right to speak to their dead relatives.
