Mormon Prophet Declares not Half of LDS Will be Saved

Doctrines of Salvation 2:15-16Joseph_Fielding_Smith; “NOT HALF THE LATTER-DAY SAINTS TO BE SAVED. … President Francis M. Lyman many times has declared, and he had reason to declare, I believe, that if we save one-half of the Latter-day Saints, that is, with an exaltation in the celestial kingdom of God, we will be doing well…

Many come into the Church, like fish that are gathered into the net, that have to be sorted and thrown out again or put into piles where they belong. And so it will be with us.” – Joseph Fielding Smith

Hebrews 7:25; “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

There are a couple of things that stick out in the teachings of the late prophet Joseph Fielding Smith so let’s take a quick look –

1.The Mormon hierarchy may not be able to save Mormons, but Jesus can and will! The idea they’re going to save anyone gives us insight as to where the hearts of these men reside.

No true Christian ever says ‘I can save him!’, rather, a true Christian has the mindset that they will plant the seed through witnessing, and no one but God saves people.

2.The comment of sorting through people and tossing them into piles ‘where they belong’ speaks for itself does it not?

That’s quite alarming coming from someone who calls themselves a prophet of God.
