Mormon Missionaries Trained to Hide Racism

29 September

Philippians 4:8”Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

For What Purpose, pp. 2-5

President Alvin R. Dyer of the First Presidency

18 March 1962 Mission Conference Olso, Norway

“…I want to talk to you a little bit now about something that is not missionary work, and what I say is not to be given to our investigators by any matter of means. …

Why is it that you were born today instead of 2,000 years ago? …Why is it that you are white and not colored? Have you ever asked yourselves that question? Who had anything to do with your being born into the Church and not born a Chinese or a Hindu or a Negro?

Is God such an unjust person that He would make you white and free and make a Negro cursed under the cursing of Cain that he could not hold the Priesthood of God? Who do you think decided and what is the reason behind it? …

I want to talk to you just briefly about this, not with any information that you would convey to your investigators, but that you, yourselves, may have a better understanding of what we are doing in the mission field today, and why it is that we come to you with encouragement to work with all your strength to get people into the Church…”

1 Timothy 4:1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils”.

This training seminar Mr. Dyer held in Oslo, Norway is a classic example of how the Church hides the truth. Their motives have contradicted what Jesus said ~

Matthew 5:15 “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.”

There were a few key things Mr. Dyer said that are downright scary and shouldn’t be overlooked ~

1.Info shouldn’t be given to investigators.

2.The Mormon god is ‘a person’.

3.The phrase ‘get people into the Church’ isn’t part of a Christian’s vernacular.

4.True Christian missionaries lead people to Christ, not a church. The church a convert joins is of their choosing after they’ve accepted Jesus as their redeeming God.

5.Unlike the Mormon god, the God of the Bible isn’t racist.

Although this talk was given in 1961, racism is still an integral part of 21stcentury Mormonism. Their canon speaks for itself. Moreover, the Church is still hiding information about themselves from investigators. Our dear sweet volunteer, Melissa, and my husband, Kirk, are but two examples of how they withheld info from them when they joined the Church.

Pray for Jesus to intervene in the lives of those who feel trapped today! We’re receiving e-mails on almost a daily basis from people around the world who’ve experienced the scenario we looked at here.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
