Mormon Dilemma 336
Families are Forever
“Children”, Liahona and Ensign, November 2011; “I testify of the great blessing of children and of the happiness they will bring us in this life and in the eternities.” —Neil L. Andersen
Mark 12:25; “For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.”
There are no marriages in heaven, no pregnancies, no watching over our own children and their families. If there were such things don’t you think Jesus would’ve told us so? This is a pretty important subject after all.
I’ve had questions about this teaching (Families are Forever) from the time my parents got divorced.
Because both of my parents were remarried to other people how does that work? And because my husband’s parents were never Mormon it just complicates things even more…whose planet do we live next to? I don’t mean any disrespect by saying that, it just doesn’t make sense.
