Testimonies

Ensign, November 2006, pg 38; “A testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ will always include these clear and simple truths:
–God lives. He is our loving Father in Heaven, and we are His children.
–Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and the Savior of the world.
–Joseph Smith is the prophet of God through whom the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored in the latter days.
–The Book of Mormon is the word of God.”

“The Power of a Personal Testimony”

Luke 12:5-8; “5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? 7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. 8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God.”

The obviously glaring missing part of a Mormon’s testimony in this example is the lack of a Bible.  The other glaring missing point is what they don’t tell you about their “gospel”.  They believe no one would know about the “true God or the true gospel” if not for Joseph Smith.

And the last major point missing is what they think of Jesus and God.  Both are polygamists with Jesus waiting to inherit his own earth to someday populate and rule over.
