Murderers not Forgiven!!

Discourses of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg 221; “”Remission of sins by baptism was not to be preached to murderers. All the priests of Christendom might pray for a murderer on the scaffold forever, but could not avail so much as a gnat towards their forgiveness. There is no forgiveness for murderers; they will have to wait until the times of redemption shall come, and that in hell.”

Their misinterpretation of scripture never ceases to amaze me…read on…you’re going to hear for the first time in your life that King David of all people is in hell.  Can you just imagine? King David of all people!

“Peter had the keys of eternal judgment, and he saw David in hell, and knew for what reason, and that David would have to remain there until the resurrection at the coming of Christ. (Romans 9.) All election that can be found in the scriptures is according to the flesh, and pertaining to the priesthood. (Richards and Little, A Compendium of the Doctrines of the Gospel, pp. 271-72.)”

Romans 3:13; “Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips.”

In addition to King David you’d also have to admit the apostle Paul is in hell as well as Solomon and Moses. Does this sound like the God of the Bible to you? I just can’t imagine God doing this.

The Bible tells us that Jesus forgives all sins except for blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. According to the Bible, the men I’ve mentioned here do not qualify to be sent to hell based upon their actions we read about. And where in the Bible does it say that Peter has the keys to eternal judgment?
