Mormon Apostle L. Tom Perry, 92, Dies

31 May

L Tom PerryTo update our readers – Mormon apostle L. Tom Perry died today, May 30, 2015, at age 92. He died at his home in Salt Lake City around 3 pm local time. Here’s the linkfor further info.

We’re asking Christians to pray for his surviving family members to obtain a saving knowledge of Christ Jesus and Him crucified. While we don’t like this man’s ideologies, we do grieve that he was espousing doctrines that so clearly deny our Lord.

With Love in Christ;

    He was a modern day Apostle. A great man with a fascinating history and life. He spent a significant amount of his life serving Christ and fulfilling “True Religion” as preach by James. If you’re attributing his actions to an adversary, I believe you’re clearly mistaken.

    Even as a Latter-day Saint and someone who gets accused of being a part of a cult (which is completely laughable), I would never demonize or suggest ill of a person’s beliefs or life who truly served his fellowman. After all, isn’t that the essence of Christianity?

    I’m sorry you’re fixated on the LDS Church being a bad or even evil organization. Look a little closer and I think you’ll find that that’s a shallow assessment. In these last days, Christians and all walks of faith need each other more than ever.
