Miracles of Jesus aren’t True According to Brigham

16 February

Journal of Discourses 13:140; “I will say with regard to miracles, there is no such thing save to the ignorant—that is, there never was a result wrought out by God or by any of His creatures without there being a cause for it. There may be results, the causes of which we do not see or understand, and what we call miracles are no more than this—they are the results or effects of causes hidden from our understandings.” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, July 11, 1869

John 2:11; “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.”

Wow. There doesn’t seem to be any end to Brigham Young’s attacks on God. Just when you think you’ve heard all the topics Mr. Young disagreed with, you’re sure to find more. I came across this one in the Journal of Discourses Index.

According to John’s gospel, Jesus performed His first miracle in Cana to manifest His glory. Now who’s going to argue this if you’re a true believer? And why?

The truth is that God’s word  has recorded 37 of Jesus’ miracles. You can read them all in the article we wrote last year! How could the 20th miracle listed be from natural events? In the next few days we’ll be looking at Joe Smith’s attempt at tricking people into believing he could walk on water just like Jesus. It’s evident neither he, nor Brigham, had a great affinity for Jesus.

If you’re LDS, whom do you believe? Brigham, or God? Please know we’re not posting this to bash the Mormon people, rather, we do this to inform. You have the right to know what Mormon leaders have taught in order to make a comprehensive decision on the type of God you want to worship. We’re praying it’s Jesus – the God of the Bible.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
