LDS and Gay Men Choirs Perform Together

30 June

San Francisco’s Gay Men’s Chorus Performs with Mormon Tabernacle Choir “…Wherever the tour takes the choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square, they look to rehearse with the choral community in the locations where they will perform. So it’s logical they would reach out to the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus. … “The purpose of music is to unite people,” said Mormon Tabernacle Choir President Ron Jarrett. “Music affects people in many ways. This is a great opportunity to bring two cultures, if you will, to the center of things and to build bridges, to make friends, and to make an enjoyable experience for everyone through music.””

James 1:8 “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

Oh, what a tangled web we weave…

Thanks to Melissa’s observant eye, she gave me a heads up about the activities of ‘Mo-Tab’, aka, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

We’re wondering why the Church would sing alongside an openly gay choir when they won’t allow even their kids to become members?

Please pray members will start questioning the decision making of their leaders! The Church made three stops during their tour in San Francisco. Their choice for this is interesting considering ten years ago, they spearheaded the Prop 8 Initiative prohibiting same-sex marriage.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
