Jesus Worked Out His Own Salvation – Mormon Quotes

Doctrines of Salvation 1:32; The statement of our Lord that he could do nothing but what he had seen the Father do, means simply that it had been revealed to him what his Father had done. Without doubt, Jesus came into the world subject to the same condition as was required of each of us-he forgot everything, and he had to grow from grace to grace. His forgetting, or having his former knowledge taken away, would be requisite just as it is in the case of each of us, to complete the present temporal existence.

John 5:36-38But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.  37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. 38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

When we don’t know what Jesus knew we don’t make it up as we go along.  Instead, the righteous man will hold all thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ as Paul said in 2 Cor. 10:5.
