‘Isabel’ in BoM Shows Joseph Smith Lied

21 June

Alma 39:3 “And this is not all, my son. Thou didst do that which was grievous unto me; for thou didst forsake the ministry, and did go over into the land of Siron among the borders of the Lamanites, after the harlot Isabel.”

1 Peter 1:25 “But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”

As a review, Mr. Smith boldly claimed there was no Greek, nor Latin in his new gospel that he named the Book of Mormon.

Times & Seasons, vol. 4 (November 1842-November 1843): p. 194 “…There was no Greek or Latin upon the plates from which I, through the grace of God, translated the Book of Mormon Let the language of that book speak for itself.

For more info see our study in link above. We counted over 95 different Greek and/or Latin words he used more than 7,200 times!

As you can see even after our extensive studies, we found yet another Latin word in ol’ Joe’s work.

Making matters worse yet again, the name ‘Isabel’ wasn’t in existence until the Middle Ages. Oh, what a tangled web we weave…

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
