False Teachings and False Prophecies of Mormonism

Worshiping God and Becoming a god

“The Pattern of Our Parentage,” Ensign, Nov. 1984, p. 69; “The Father is the one true God. This thing is certain: no one will ever ascend above Him; no one will ever replace Him. Nor will anything ever change the relationship that we, His literal offspring, have with Him. He is Eloheim, the Father. He is God. Of Him there is only one. We revere our Father and our God; we worship Him.

There is only one Christ, one Redeemer. We accept the divinity of the Only Begotten Son of God in the flesh. We accept the promise that we may become joint heirs with Him.” – Boyd K. Packer

Isaiah 43:10-11; “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.”

No matter what they say you can’t worship the One Triune God and believe you can become a god. You’re not revering God at all when you believe God has a father himself. And how can the god you’re worshipping not receive all the glory when he has a god above him?

God said there is no other god before him, none beside him (he didn’t grow up with a polygamist daddy on some other planet) and there is no one after Him. This means YOU won’t become a god.

And one more thing that I forgot to touch upon – we are NOT the literal offspring of God! If you’re a student of Mormonism you will have noticed there is one thing that ties all their teachings together – it’s sex. This religion is built upon two principles; sex and godhood and you can’t get one without the other. Sadly for the Mormon this is what causes the confusion in their teachings and what keeps them bound into believing the lies.

They are trying to get people to believe that they are Christian more and more. Is this perhaps due to the Mitt Romney campaign?

Interesting. The common thread of “sex” running through LDS teachings is readily visible when you see them as whole. Spirit children, how their god lives in their Celestial Heaven, polygamy, etc. have this common thread. These teachings, given piece-meal all of the members’ lives, cloud the minds of people and they don’t see that.

In counselling, it is common knowledge that a family can’t always see the problem. They then go to counselling and and outsider sees it and helps with the solution. Likewise, LDS members can’t see any problem with this type of doctrine; however, when they read the Bible, research outside of the LDS teachings, then they will find the problem and see the LDS teachings taken as a whole. The common thread is then visible.

Getting an LDS member to research outside the LDS teachings, BOM, and doctrine is the key. God uses many things to lead the member to the truth.

Question Authority! Where’s the proof in ancient history, archeology, etc. that these doctrines, BOM, and teachings existed? What, no Dead Sea Scrolls of the BOM?

That is how they usurp their power and control over the members… it is the same thing that goes on in “mind-control cults” only it has an outward appearance of wholesome and devout Christianity. That is why I tell people that they are a “Psuedo-Christian Cult”. There is an outward appearance of being “mainstream” but as you peel back the thin veneer, you find blasphemy.

When it came to matters of spirituallity, I wasn’t allowed to read anything that wasn’t the LDS approved scriptures, wasn’t written by a Mormon author, published by Deseret Books, or approved by the prophet/general authorities. I wrote about the following in my testimony…

One evening when I was 10 or 11 years old, my dad went into my brother’s room to talk to him. Next thing I know there is an eruption of yelling and arguing. My dad had found a book in my brother’s room by Hal Lindsey titled, “The Late Great Planet Earth” (for those of you who don’t know, it is a great commentary on the Book of Revelation. I have read the book several times and really enjoy it. He also has a follow up book called Planet Earth 2000 where he updates where we are at compared to what he wrote about back in the late 60’s). So my dad comes storming out of my brother’s room saying, “This so-called Christian has no authority to write about or comment on the scriptures. He is only doing it to make money and you will not bring this filth into my house”. He tore the book up into several pieces and threw it into the fireplace.

I look back on the whole situation now and it was like my dad found a playboy magazine or something worse in his bedroom…

Thank you Jesus for setting me free from the bondage that is the LDS church!!!
