False Prophecy of Joseph Smith

15 May

Takeover of Salem, Mass.

D&C 111:2-5; “I have much treasure in this city for you, for the benefit of Zion, and many people in this city, whom I will gather out in due time for the benefit of Zion, through your instrumentality. 3 Therefore, it is expedient that you should form acquaintance with men in this city, as you shall be led, and as it shall be given you. 4 And it shall come to pass in due time that I will give this city into your hands, that you shall have power over it, insomuch that they shall not discover your secret parts; and its wealth pertaining to gold and silver shall be yours. 5 Concern not yourselves about your debts, for I will give you power to pay them.”

This prophecy from Joseph Smith proved wrong everywhere. They never took over Salem, Mass. and Salem never paid off the LDS debt.  Prophecy was given on August 6, 1836.

First of all, let us understand what is being said, and the context of it.

Joseph Smith and a few others had traveled to Salem because they heard of the possibility of money, but left when it was apparent that none was available.

The meaning of this revelation is not to prophecy that Salem would pay the debts of the church. This was a revelation of comfort, not prophecy. God is telling the brethren that the journey was not without prophit, for the contacts made would eventually prove beneficial.
Verse five was not to say that Salem would pay the debt, but that the debt would be paid, so they need not worry that no money was available in Salem.

The only prophecy is verse 4, which is not attatched to verse five, and which does not ahve a time table set, and thus one cannot say it has or has not been fulfilled.

Everything is rationalized by the LDS. They spend millions of dollars in public relations to make sure it’s all covered and that there’s an ‘answer’ for everything.
Since Smith was in it all for money and power, having had beginnings with his family as treasure seekers, this writing is worthless.

If Joseph Smith was in it for the money he picked the wrong profession. He never had much money, even in the best of times. As for power, the constant persecution and violence against him made that very little from a worldly perspective, and so he would have failed in that as well.

It never fails to amaze how little people think through things before they accuse Joseph Smith of things.

Please read the history of Smith by NON-Mormons before you say that. Smith was into treasure seeking, scams, the occult, freemasonry, and more. How could you say he was a ‘Prophet”? Where is the proof of that? Anyone can make that claim and make up stories with “witnesses”.

Again, his writings are worthless. They keep changing all the time. The Bible remains UNchanged. The Bible denounces Smith and his works as FALSE. Everything on this website tells you this. KEEP READING…
