Heavenly Father’s Plan of Salvation for you

“Heavenly Father’s Plan – “Have you ever wondered why marriage is so important and why the family is central to Heavenly Father’s plan?” Elder Bednar asked. “A man and a woman are designed and intended to work together to progress eternally. That is part of the plan.””

1 John 5:11-13; “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

There are many verses in the Bible that we can use as God’s plan of salvation for man. Another set of verses can be found in the Roman’s Road to Salvation you can read here on our site http://lifeafterministry.wordpress.com/2011/01/14/romans-road/

The point to using this LDS example is to show how far off they are in talking about God’s plan for salvation. If this is God’s plan for salvation you’d have to admit it’s actually your plan of salvation. It’s your decision who you’re going to marry, which temple you’ll be married in, how many kids, how much you’ll pay in tithe, etc. None of these decisions have anything to do with God’s plan for your life and how He brings us out of the pit of death into life everlasting.

This plan is all about how clever you are in figuring this out and how it will bring you glory on another planet from your offspring.  It doesn’t address the fact that you are separated from God because of sin or that we are lost in this world without His intervention.

If my salvation is dependent upon the works that I can do while here on earth I may as well die now and call it quits because I have no hope. I lived separated from Him for the first 30 years of my life and it was nothing but a pitiful existence.

 This article talked about serving others because of our faith in Christ. Where did that faith come from and faith in which Jesus? And what this article did but didn’t say is how you need to pay 10% of your gross income in order to go to the temple to take oaths so you can become a god.

None of this plan from the Mormon god holds any hope. Couched in the filler words of faith in Christ is the truth about Mormonism and their message is as empty a clanging symbol.

Come alongside us and pray for the captives release won’t you?

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
