www.lds.org; “An office of the Aaronic Priesthood. A boy is normally ordained a deacon when
he is 12 years of age or older. Some of a deacon’s responsibilities are to pass the sacrament
and collect fast offerings from the members.”
1 Tim. 3:8-11; “Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain, 9but holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. 10These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach.”
Why is a twelve year old boy given a position of authority over a grown woman? Additionally, deacons must have a clear understanding of the faith that must have already been proven. What twelve year old qualifies for that?
