Contradictions in Mormon Canon: How Many Gods are There?

13 June

Mormon 7:7; “And he hath brought to pass the redemption of the world, whereby he that is found guiltless before him at the judgment day hath it given unto him to dwell in the presence of God in his kingdom, to sing ceaseless praises with the choirs above, unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God…”

Abraham 4:1; “And then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, and they, that is the Gods, organized and formed the heavens and the earth.”

The BoM passage outright contradicts everything Mormons are working so hard for here on earth.

If there’s only one God it means they’ll never achieve godhood status.

It also contradicts everything they’ve always been taught. The whole pre-existence and the council of gods story totally contradicts what their prophet ‘Mormon’ has said in that passage.

Joe Smith complicated matters even further by prophesying ‘the Gods organized and formed the earth’ in the book of Abraham. One last thought…the ‘One God’ theory also contradicts what it says in D&C 132 which claims those who practice polygamy will become gods.

Besides all that, the Bible declares there is only One God! Isaiah 43:10-11
