Anti-Christian Remarks and a Slough of Mormon False Prophecies

12 April

The title of our article today is but a snippet into the minds of early Mormonism and the way they collectively spoke about the body of Christ. The small section from ‘The Women of Mormondom’ gives usWomen of Mormondom a close up look into the minds of those who obeyed Joe Smith and Brigham Young.

This book, written by Eliza Roxcy Snow, is a compilation of early Mormon teachings, some historical data, and interviews of prominent members of the Church, conducted by Ms. Snow. Not only was Eliza the older sister of Mormonism’s 5thprophet/president, Lorenzo Snow, she was also the widow of both Joseph Smith, and Brigham Young, in addition to serving as the 1st LDS Relief Society Secretary under Emma Smith.

This short lesson we’re looking at today gives us a concise, yet comprehensive, understanding on the Church’s teachings about Adam’s role as Michael the Archangel. Additionally, because Mormons can’t do anything without slamming the body of Christ, they couldn’t help but include an unnecessary opinion about Christianity  along with it.

Women of Mormondom, pp. 177-179; “At the very moment when the learned divines of Eliza R SnowChristendom were glorying that this little earth was the “be-all and the end-all” of creation, the prophet of Mormondom was teaching the sisters in the temple at Kirtland that there has been an eternal chain of creations coming down from the generations of the Gods worlds and systems and universes.

Hell-loving apostles of the sects were sending ninety-nine hundredths of this poor, young, forlorn earth to the bottomless pit.”

Remember beloved, when the Mormon wants to buddy up on a social issue, this should serve as a memo to what they really think of Christians. More importantly, don’t forget what John said in his epistle –

1 John 2:9; “He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.”

“The Mormon prophet was finding out grand old universes, in exaltation with scarcely the necessity of losing a soul. The spirit of Mormonism is universal salvation.

Adam is our Father and God. He is the God “of the earth.” So says Brigham Young. Adam is the great archangel of this creation. He is Michael. He is the Ancient of Days. He is the father of our elder brother, Jesus Christ the father of him who shall also come as Messiah to reign. He is the father of the spirits as well as the tabernacles of the sons and daughters of man. Adam!”

Notice how adamant Ms. Snow was about this teaching! It was obviously pushed heavily during the day.

Mormons have since denounced this doctrine, so what happens now to those Mormons who died and believed Adam was God?

Will they be saved in the Celestial Kingdom?

More importantly, Joe Smith’s scripture in the Pearl of Great Price (Moses 4:1-4) says that Satan was cast out of heaven for wanting to offer universal salvation. Why is it okay for it to be taught now? Does this mean ‘that grand old prophet’ Eliza was talking about is Satan?

“Michael is one of the grand mystical names in the works of creations, redemptions, and resurrections. Jehovah is the second and the higher name. Eloheim signifying the Gods is the first name of the celestial trinity. Michael was a celestial, resurrected being, of another world.”

The mass confusion they went about sewing in the minds of early believers is treacherous. The tragedy is how they’re still doing it, but without the fanfare seen in Eliza’s portrayal of Mormon doctrine.

“In the beginning” the Gods created the heavens and the earths. In their councils they said, let us make man in our own image. So, in the likeness of the Fathers, and the Mothers the Gods created they man male and female.”

One thing is for sure with Eliza’s writings. She left no room for a misunderstanding to take place. Everything they taught was laid out on the table with no innuendos of what they were doing.

Bold, yes. Brazen, absolutely! And blasphemous beyond description.
