Adam, Eve Parents of Flesh and Spirits

10 January

Journal of Discourses 7:290 “Adam and Eve are the parents of all pertaining to the flesh, and I would not say that they are not also the parents of our spirits.” — Brigham Young, Great Salt Lake City, October 9, 1859

Jeremiah 7:17-18 “Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?  18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.”

Mr. Young had a lot to say about many things, but this one defies what the Church has historically taught through the years.

No matter where you look in Mormon writings, you’re sure to find the same info repeated time and again. No one knows the name of their ‘heavenly mother’, aka, the goddess wife of the Mormon heavenly father.

“While we might not have a specific, revealed name for either of our Heavenly Parents, we speak the most crucial truths about Them each time we reference Their titles: that They are our literal spiritual parents and we are sons and daughters of Gods.” — The Name of Heavenly Mother and Father… by Danielle B. Wagner

Although you can read many examples of feigned ignorance like the one listed above, there’s also the other side of the story showing top LDS leaders who had no qualms revealing her name.

Our reference today clearly defies all the years of lies. Moreover, diaries of early church members reveal sermon notes from many top leaders repeating Brigham’s philosophies. See Hismin.com for more info.

Aside from that unbiblical doctrine, there’s the entire idolatry of believing there’s a heavenly mother.

Where in the Bible does it say God has a wife?

Furthermore, doesn’t the idea that Adam and Eve begat all the spirits contradict basic LDS dogma? If a guy achieves godhood status, the idea of heaven is that he’s earned the status of being a polygamous god.

If Adam became a god as Brigham alludes to, why does he only have one wife? Where are all the others?

What about Joe Smith’s promise in D&C 132:32 where God stated if he practiced polygamy, he’d find salvation?

“Go ye, therefore, and do the works of Abraham; enter ye into my law and ye shall be saved.”

Oh, what a tangled web we weave…

If you’re LDS, we pray in all sincerity you’ll stop to think these things through. We don’t post this to belittle, or bash the Mormon people. Our hearts are broken over the atrocious lies coming from the leadership of this organization.

Originally, I was a 6th generation Mormon from Utah, and in the Church for 30 yrs. I know how difficult it was to accept the true doctrines of my beloved heritage are lies. I begged God to make the truth change into what I thought Mormonism was, and should be. Finally, I had a choice to make.

Jesus, or Joseph.

I loved Jesus more, and here we are today.

I implore you to objectively look at the evidence as it speaks for itself. We have nothing to hide here at Life After Ministries. Our agenda is to promote truth, and glorify God in the process.

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
